About Us

Charis Day Spa celebrated it's grand opening on September 1st, 2010. We are proud to offer our clients a variety of quality bodywork and skin care treatments.

For those of you wondering WHY the name "Charis"-- we wanted a word rich with meaning. Charis (pronounced Cher-is) is a Greek word which means grace that which affords joy, pleasure, delight, sweetness, charm, loveliness: grace of speech, good will, and loving-kindness. We loved the meaning of Charis and hope that you will experience a different kind of tender loving care in our spa.

Our schedules may vary, depending on the week. Please feel free to check our online schedule, or if you don't see the time you need, call us and we will be happy to find a time that works with your schedule.

Dan Gribble

Dan has been a CMT since 2000. He originally got into massage to help his wife w/ her migraines. He is an instructor of anatomy, physiology and many massage techniques at a massage therapy school. His strengths in massage are: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage. He also has a Sports/ Deep Tissue technique that works well to release muscle and connective tissue. The main goal is to bring back the body's natural alignment. Some techniques include: Neck and Shoulder Release: this helps bring the shoulders back, offering better alignment to support the neck and head. It can reduce headaches and the aches and pains we get in the upper/ mid back from stress tension and our physical labors. Hip and Glute Release: this helps reduce low back and hip pain. By releasing muscles in the legs, hips, and glutes, the lower body can gain a better alignment to aiding in the support of our upper body. If the hips are out of alignment, the integrity of the low back can be compromised. Therefore one can suffer low back and hip pain. Correct the alignment in the hips, there can be less stress on the hips and low back. He would be happy to help you with all your massage needs. He can be reached at (916)205-6323.
